한국디지털인문학협의회(KADH)의 학술지 『디지털인문학(Korean Journal of Digital Humanities, KJDH)』이 지금까지 발간된 모든 논문의 JATS XML 변환 작업을 완료했습니다.
웹에서 바로 읽는 디지털 학술지
이제 학술지 홈페이지(https://accesson.kr/kjdh/)에서 모든 논문을 PC와 모바일로 바로 읽을 수 있습니다. 국내 인문학 학술지 중 XML을 도입한 곳은 아직 많지 않지만, 해외 디지털인문학 학술지들은 대부분 웹에서 바로 읽을 수 있는 오픈액세스 형태로 운영되고 있습니다. KJDH도 이제 이런 국제적 흐름에 맞춰 진정한 디지털 학술지로 한 단계 발전했습니다.
LLM을 활용한 비용 효율적 접근
이번 작업에서 주목할 부분은 LLM(대규모 언어 모델)을 활용한 점입니다. KJDH 간사 지해인 선생님이 주도한 이 프로젝트는 초벌 작업을 LLM으로 진행해서 기존 논문 XML 변환 비용(편당 5~6만원)을 크게 줄이고 작업 프로세스의 상당 부분을 자동화할 수 있었습니다.

The Korean Journal of Digital Humanities (KJDH), published by the Korean Association for Digital Humanities (KADH), has completed the JATS XML conversion of all published articles.
Direct Web Access to Digital Scholarship
All articles are now available for direct reading on both PC and mobile devices through the journal website (https://accesson.kr/kjdh/). While few humanities journals in Korea have adopted XML format, most international digital humanities journals operate as open access publications accessible directly on the web. KJDH has now aligned with this global trend, evolving into a genuinely digital academic journal.
Cost-Effective Approach Using LLM Technology
A notable aspect of this project is the use of LLM (Large Language Model) technology. Led by KJDH Managing Editor Ms. Haein Ji, this initiative used LLM for initial processing, significantly reducing traditional XML conversion costs (50,000-60,000 KRW per article) while automating substantial portions of the workflow.
